The Henrys moved this past summer. Now, the church is beginning its gathering stages. Here are some ways you can help and some specific current needs the new church has.
Please consider one or more of the following...
- Make a gift to the church for $25.00--about the costs for a lunch with a non-Christian or prospective church member.
- Make a gift of $1000 toward purchasing equipment for the rented facility, including sound, projection, communion, chairs, and other supplies.
- Make a gift of $300, about the cost to rent one proposed worship facility for one week.
- Agree to pay for the cost of maintaining this website; it can be charged to your credit card and is about $20.00 per month.
- Commit to pay for the church's email service; it can be charged to your credit card and is only about $10.00 per month.
- Give Phil a Visa card that he can use for gas, an expense not covered by the church's budget. (There is a lot of driving that goes on here in New Jersey!)
- Agree to pay for the church's EZ pass on your credit card--driving on toll-roads and toll-bridges is a normal, but expensive, part of life in New Jersey.
- Make a gift to the church to purchase study materials to give away to non-Christians and interested "disciples."
- Donate some money to the Henrys personally so they can get some needed furniture for their new home; a gift card to IKEA would be great. (As a reminder, personal gifts are not tax-deductible.)
- An IKEA gift card can be used for furniture and lighting for the new church as well.
- Donate frequent flier miles to Phil as he needs to still take several trips related to fundraising. (GCCP can issue you an in-kind receipt for tax purposes for such gifts.)
If you are nearby in New Jersey or Philadelphia, please keep in mind that God calls us to help with our time, talent, and treasure, as we are able. We are very grateful for those who have given much time already to this new work, but launching a new church by April 2010 is going to take many more people and many many more hours of labor.
